What is a heat pump?
A heat pump is a combination unit that works to both cool and heat the home.
In summer, a heat pump operates like a standard, electrically driven air conditioner. It collects heat from the air inside the home and expels it outside. the hot air inside is replaced with cool air.
In winter the process is reversed, so the heat pump collects heat from outdoor air to warm the inside of the home.
