Mother's Day is on its way. What a great time to say, "Thanks, Mom, for mother's milk!"
Here's a puzzle to try on your mom on Mother's Day: How are you and I like a moose, a mouse, a monkey, and a mole? The answer is that we're all mam- mals--the only animals on Earth that drink milk from their mothers.
Just think about milk for a minute. As soon as a baby mammal is born, its mother starts making milk inside her body. This white liquid is the baby's first meal. And it's the only food the baby needs--sometimes for many months.
