MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 23, 1997--Etak Inc., a leading digital map developer and pioneer in navigation software, Wednesday officially announced completion of the first nationwide map database providing turn-by-turn vehicle navigation throughout mainland Great Britain.
Previewed at the recent NavPos '97 vehicle navigation conference in Birmingham, England, the map database is designed for use in turn-by-turn car navigation systems. It locates virtually all chosen destinations within mainland Great Britain, connecting Point A to Point B with turn-by-turn instructions.
