It was more than a flash of inspiration, that made Sabrina Harwood want to create a lightning safety page on the computer Internet--it was a flash of lightning.
Sabrina and her family were struck by lightning--but not injured--two years ago while hiking at the Grand Canyon, in northern Arizona. A storm moved in, and the family found low ground in a side canyon. Emerging afterward, they stood watching some birds flying nearby. "It had stopped raining, so we thought it was safe," says Sabrina, who is nine years old.
Suddenly there was a tremendous boom and flash--a lightning strike!
Luckily, the lightning didn't hit Sabrina's family ...
