When a storm threatens, be ready to:
* Use the Flash to Bang counting system (five seconds = one mile) to learn how close lighting is striking. If It's a building or car with the windows shut.
* Get in the safety position if no shelter is nearby: Crouch down on the balls of your feet, hands on your knees, and feet together.
* Avoid things that can carry electricity, like water, metal tools or toys, tents, railroad tracks, or trees. Remove your baseball cap; ...
