TEMPLETON - "Our Flag" by Fred Tripp, the sole survivor of a lost art collection left to the town in 1960, will be placed on permanent loan with the Narragansett Historical Society.
In March 1960, Town Clerk Emil Wirkkala and Edith Cutting, town treasurer, accepted a bequest from the estate of Edith Nichols Byl. The bequest included a collection of about 45 framed wall art pictures, shown on a list handwritten by Mrs. Byl.
Mrs. Byl requested that the "pictures be hung and kept on the walls in the Templeton High School Building situated in the Village of Baldwinville, Massachusetts."
