WORCESTER - We all need to believe in something; we especially need to believe in ourselves.
That is the major message behind "The Rainmaker," the newest show at Worcester Foothills Theater, which runs through March 1.
I never saw the 1956 movie with Burt Lancaster and Katharine Hepburn. This show is set in the 1950s, during a drought in a Western farm region. Living in this area is the Curry family of ranchers, H.C. (played in the Foothills' production by Barry Press), his two sons Noah (Dan Roach) and Jimmy (Jonathan Popp) and his "plain Jane" daughter, Lizzie (Jessica Webb). Their cattle ...
