Article: 180,000 WORKERS IN TAIWAN ON UNPAID LEAVE: LABOR COUNCIL.

TAIPEI, Feb 11 Asia Pulse - At least 180,000 workers across Taiwan are on unpaid leave, with those in the high-tech sector the most likely to be given extra days off, the Cabinet-level Council of Labor Affairs (CLA) reported Tuesday.

The CLA has required local enterprises since January to report the number of their workers on unpaid leave, to better monitor the impact of falling exports on Taiwan's labor market.
