BRATISLAVA, Slovakia _ When NATO opens its doors to some of its former Soviet Bloc enemies, this new country in Central Europe is almost certain to feel left out.
And that could become a problem.
Slovakia once seemed sure to be invited into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, created in 1949 as the West's Cold War answer to Soviet aggression. But confidence has faded to a potent mixture of resignation and anger.
