JB Ethanol Ltd., a subsidiary of Jamaica Broilers Group Ltd., has temporarily suspended producing ethanol at its 60 MMgy hydrous ethanol dehydration plant at Port Esquivel in the parish of St. Catherine, Jamaica, as it merges the operations of its current ethanol facility and a new 60 MMgy facility which is expected to be completed later this month. The expanded 120 MMgy operation is expected to be commissioned in March.
Given that we have no immediate supply commitments and, therefore, do not need to run the plant right now, we saw this as an opportunity to coordinate the merging of the two plants and the annual maintenance of the ...
