TOKYO, Feb 12 Asia Pulse - Goldwin Inc. (TSE:8111) will as early as June begin sales of a popular version of the Speedo line of LZR Racer swimsuits, which made headlines at last summer's Beijing Olympic Games.
With the approval of Britain's Speedo International Ltd., Goldwin will launch a hybrid version of the competition swimwear that is produced in-house. LZR Racers have no stitched seams but are bonded by ultrasonic welding. The new offering will be made from the same material, but the seams will be stitched. The full-body version will likely carry a price tag of around 40,000 yen (US$442.76), roughly 30-40 per cent less than LZR's.
