ATLANTA--Apr. 21--New Jersey-based Toys "R" Us Inc. plans to open a regional warehouse and distribution center in Henry County by next spring that will provide jobs for as many as 350 people.
Construction of the first phase of the facility, which will house members of the Toys "R" Us regional retail management team as well as warehouse employees, could begin as early as July.
The fewer than 100 employees who now work at a much-smaller distribution center near downtown Atlanta will be given first dibs on jobs at the Henry County location, said Michael Miller, Toys "R" Us corporate vice president for real estate.
