Federal lawmakers subpoenaed the president of the Peanut Corp. of America to appear at a hearing today (http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jeLgwCG-FEEYH8KZ7Tt45zOdSIKgD9698FA04) before the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which is looking into a salmonella outbreak traced to the plant that has made at least 600 people ill and is tied to eight deaths, the Associated Press reports.
