Apr. 24--Center City: It's not just for Wednesdays anymore.
Encouraged by the success of the Make It a Night retail promotions that began in 1992 to lure people on Wednesday evenings, the Center City District and its allies have expanded the idea to an everyday Make It Center City.
They'll even throw in a free train ride back home.
Make It Center City is primarily an advertising campaign; ads with that theme will begin appearing on radio, in print and on transit vehicles or kiosks.
It's intended as a way of packaging what Mayor Rendell described as "the most dynamic, vibrant, easiest-access downtown in America."
