Apr. 25--Although early estimates place losses to property at nearly $2 billion, most large businesses with submerged properties in the Red River Valley have no idea what losses they've sustained, and they're not rushing to find out.
But bank groups in both Minnesota and North Dakota held meetings Wednesday to compare notes on the damage.
Dayton Hudson, Cargill, Cenex and Ecolab are affected to some extent, but all said they are involved with their employees and their communities now; they'll worry about damage later.
