HOUSTON, April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Cooper Cameron Corporation (NYSE: RON) reported net income of $19.4 million, or $0.72 per share, for the quarter ended March 31, 1997. This compares with net income of $7.7 million, or $0.29 per share, for the first quarter of 1996. Total revenues increased to $376.0 million for the quarter, up 34 percent from the $280.6 million recorded in the first quarter of 1996. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) for the quarter increased to $50.8 million from $30.3 million in the same quarter a year ago.
