DALLAS, May 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Arrow-Magnolia International, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARWM) today announced that earnings for the three months ended March 31, 1997 increased 27% to $281,712, or 10 cents per share, from $222,638, or 8 cents per share, in the same quarter last year. Net sales increased 12% to $2.8 million from $2.5 million in the year-earlier quarter.

Morris Shwiff, President, commented that the Company continued to enlarge its sales force in the first quarter of 1997, including Arrow-Magnolia's launch of marketing in California, which was reflected in the increases of both sales volume and profits.
