District of Columbia
The district Water and Sewer Authority last week named law firms Hunton & Wil- liams of Richmond and Smallwood & Wells of Prince George's County, Md., as bond counsel.
The authority runs the Blue Plains wastewater-treatment plant, which serves the district and parts of the region.
It became an independent authority last year and is expected to undertake a large bond-funded capital improvement program this year.
Authority chairman Michael Rogers, the district's city administrator, last week said he would not disclose the size of any upcoming bond sales. He indi- cated that at least one bond issue backed by water and sewer ...
