The Judicial Service Commission has officially revived |its inquiry into complaints against the Constitutional Court justices and Cape Judge President John Hlophe.
The decision was taken on the same day that Hlophe and justice minister Enver Surty tried to kiss and make up after a public row over the judge president's return to work without the latter's blessing.
Meanwhile, negotiations continue behind the scenes to broker a settlement that would avoid further damage to the judiciary's credibility.
