CEBU CITY, Feb. 12 (PNA) -- Cordova, Cebu Mayor Adelino Sitoy said work on the P2.2-billion, 60-hectare Cordova Reclamation Project is expected to start before the end of this year. Sitory said the Cebu Provincial Reclamation Authority (CPRA) has approved through a resolution passed on Dec. 23, 2008 the plan to develop the 14-hectare Lava islet and 46 hectares of foreshore land. The CPRA took cognizance of the unsolicited offer by a Filipino-Korean firm to shoulder the cost of the project, in approving the proposed 60-hectare reclamation during its meeting with the Economic Enterprise Council.
