Demise of Project Kangaroo has left the UK's online TV market wide open to commercial services
The Competition Commission's decision to veto Project Kangaroo has sparked a race to become the single destination for online TV access.
The Commission's hardline stance against the joint venture video-on- demand service from BBC Worldwide, ITV and Channel 4, which it deemed anti-competitive to the UK market, means the path is clear for a commercial service or content aggregator to take the lead in the nascent market.
