TAMPA, Fla., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Shells Seafood Restaurants, Inc. (Nasdaq: SHLL, SHLLW) announced the opening of a Shells restaurant in Florence, Kentucky, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio on May 5th. The restaurant is located at 4931 Houston Road. It is Shells' 33rd restaurant, and the first to open outside of Florida since Bill Hattaway and his management team began operating Shells in 1993. Shells plans to open 3 to 4 additional restaurants in the Cincinnati market and is looking at other Ohio markets for expansion opportunities. Shells presently is renovating a restaurant in Middletown, Ohio and Tallahassee, Florida, both of which are scheduled to open in June.
