For three years Ilsa van den Berg had been shooting and scoring and assisting at a record-setting pace for the Oregon lacrosse team.
Then came Saturday.
When the Ducks' season-opening game against Stanford concluded in a 17-5 loss, van den Berg's stats looked shockingly empty: 0 goals, 0 assists, 1 shot.
"I barely touched the ball and when I did I wasn't much of a threat," the senior attacker admitted. "Something wasn't clicking."
For what probably seemed like the first time in her career - or at least the recent past.
