TAIPEI, Feb 17 Asia Pulse - Some 310 companies have responded positively to a training program aimed at providing specialized courses for workers on unpaid leave, Taiwan's Cabinet-level Council of Labor Affairs (CLA) reported Monday.
To date, 310 businesses have registered with the CLA to offer training courses in foreign languages, computer skills, business management, and research and renovation to their workers on unpaid leave.
CLA officials estimated that 5,600 companies will join the program, to the benefit of around 168,000 workers across the country. The officials forecast that some of the workers will be able to begin receiving training from ...
