As part of the cultural events at Piedra 2008, the exhibit halls included a monographic exhibition entitled, "The Seduction of Natural Stone: Contemporary Architecture in Spain," organized by the Spanish Foreign Trade Institute (ICEX). This exhibition, which was presented for the first time in Madrid, brought together the projects carried out using stone by 15 architecture studios of international renown.
The projects themselves were displayed in a very unique format. In addition to photos and diagrams for each project, the exhibit included actual samples of the stones used.
