Sangsad Bhaban, Feb 17 (UNB) - Lawmakers Tuesday took a swipe at Pakistan President's special envoy Zia Ispahani's remarks that the move for trying the 1971 war criminals is a mistimed step while parliament has already passed a resolution for the war-crime trial.
On a point of order, Workers Party president Rashed Khan Menon said the parliament unanimously passed a resolution on trial of the war criminals. 'The people of the country are assured by that,' he said.
Menon said after the resolution passed by the Parliament, Jamaat-e-Islami said they made a political mistake in 1971.
