"I'll have the mac and cheese," announced my friend Anne during a recent brunch at Masa restaurant in the South End. "Everyone loves mac and cheese."
Indeed, macaroni and cheese is the ultimate comfort fare - especially now, during a snowier-than-usual winter and a worsening economic climate.
Mac and cheese is marvelously adaptable, easy to make and affordable. Everyone has his or her favorite recipe.
