Kabo says 6-month profit nearly quadruples

Egypt's El Nasr Clothes and Textiles (Kabo) said its net profit in the six months to the end of December nearly quadrupled to LE 12.1 million ($2.2 million).

The company did not give further details in a statement and could not immediately be reached for comment. The firm said in January it bought the regional rights to the Jil trademark from Jil International for around LE 22 million. -- Reuters

EFIC 2008 net profit up to LE 195 mln

Fertilizer company Egyptian Financial and Industrial (EFIC) said it made a net after-tax consolidated profit of LE 195 million ($34.9 million) in 2008.
