Volusia County is a place where people appreciate history. But these days you're more likely to hear business and government leaders talking about the future. They're talking about how they want to take the best of what's already here and reshape it for the future.
"Volusia County is going through a transformation in that we're changing for the better," according to George Mirabal, president of The Chamber, Daytona Beach/Halifax Area. "We're officially adopting an attitude of 'Let's just do it.' The waiting and debating and studying we're putting aside, and everything is now going to be action oriented."
