ASHBURNHAM - For Wayne Hancock, it's that time of year again - waiting for the snow to melt and the baseball diamond to emerge.
All his life, from his playing days throughout his long coaching career at Cushing Academy, Hancock has loved the anticipation of the next season in the sun.
Beginning with a preseason trip to Florida, this will be Hancock's 32nd season at Cushing, and he enters with a terrific career record and a distinguished honor. Hancock was inducted recently into the Massachusetts High School Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame.
