The Whitney Museum of American Art in New York has selected veteran curator Francesco Bonami and the up-and-coming Gary Carrion-Murayari to organize its 2010 Biennial. Bonami organized the 2003 Venice Biennale and, as senior curator at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art (1999-2008), curated the 2007 Rudolf Stingel show, which traveled to the Whitney [see A.i.A., Sept. '07]. He has served as artistic director of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin and of the recently shuttered Villa Manin Center for Contemporary Art in Passariano, among other posts.
