UBERLANDIA, MG - Brazil, and AURORA, Ill., May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- CTBC Telecom announced today the introduction of Lan.Net(TM), the first high speed Internet service in Brazil. Lan.Net is now available and offers high speed Internet access to all CTBC Telecom subscribers. The enabling Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) technology is provided and installed by Westell Technologies (Nasdaq: WSTL). Westell's FlexCAP2(TM) ADSL provides Internet access at a rate that is more than 50 times faster than the currently available 33.6 kbps dial-up system.
