May 12--After struggling for years with the determination of a returning salmon in the upper reaches of the Snake River, former Richland resident Chance Wolf is finally making a big splash with Spawn.
Spawn, for uninitiated readers, is a mega-popular comic book featuring a heavily armed and vengeful superhero in a menacing red cape. Superman he ain't, but comic book fans have sent Spawn soaring.
"This is the highest position anywhere around the nation in comics right now," Wolf said last week from Phoenix, where he spends his days at the side of comic demigod Todd McFarlane. "It's all high-profile work."
