DENVER, May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Ascent Entertainment Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: GOAL) yesterday named Mr. Robert G. Schwartz, 69, Chairman of the seven-person Board, replacing Mr. C.J. Silas, who resigned last month for health reasons. Mr. Schwartz has been a member of Ascent's Board of Directors since the company became a public corporation in December 1995.
Mr. Schwartz is a director or trustee of various business organizations. He was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. (MetLife) from September 1989 to March 1993 and remains a director of MetLife. He has served on COMSAT Corporation's ...
