Article: ATA Reports 9.4 Point Increase in April Scheduled Service Passenger Load Factor

INDIANAPOLIS, May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- American Trans Air, Inc. (ATA), the principal subsidiary of Amtran, Inc. (Nasdaq-NNM: AMTR), today reported that its April 1997 scheduled service passenger load factor increased 9.4 points to 77.2%.

For the month, on a consolidated basis, ATA flew 743.1 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs) and 1.0 billion available seat miles (ASMs), and carried 471,546 revenue passengers.
