Seven groups are being invited to bid by 26 February for the contract to build the first part of the third phase of the $11bn New Doha International airport project.
The prequalified groups are a joint venture of the local Midmac Contracting Company and Belgium's Six Construct; the UAE/ Australian Al-Habtoor Leighton Group; France's Bouygues; South Korea's Hyundai Engineering & Construction Company; UK-based Laing O'Rourke; South Africa's Murray & Roberts Contractors (Middle East); and a joint venture of Qatari Diar Investment Company and France's Vinci Construction Grands Projets.
