Wild coach Jacques Lemaire caught bits and pieces of the team's morning skate Wednesday from the home bench. Lemaire, though, did not skate a day after taking a nasty fall in practice that prompted X-rays on his left shoulder. Those X-rays were negative.
Though working on little sleep because of the pain, Lemaire was in good spirits as he whistled while walking down the hallway into the Wild interview room to greet the media.
"They tried to get rid of me, but they can't," he joked.
Lemaire, 63, said he should resume shooting pucks within two or three days.
