CIGNA & CMC Life Insurance Co. Ltd, a joint venture between CIGNA and China Merchants Group, captured the 2008 Best Foreign Life Insurance Company Award in the annual China Best Financial Institutions Rankings. The award, organized by China Financial News and the Institution of Finance and Banking of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, was given to the life insurance company that demonstrated performance excellence and prudent risk management in its operations in 2008. Winners were announced at the annual rankings event held recently in Beijing (see also CIGNA).
