NEWTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 20, 1997--Plaintree Systems Inc. (LANPF-NASDAQ; LAN-TSE) announced today it has been selected to provide its WaveSwitch 4800 for the LAN infrastructure of shipboard information systems on 134 ships for Military Sealift Command (MSC), a worldwide operating force of the U.S. Navy. The contract could be worth $5.8 million (U.S. dollars) in revenue for Plaintree over the next three years.
