A night in New Braunfels could soon be a little less noisy. The city is continuing its efforts to possibly add safety measures to local railroad crossings that would keep train engineers from blasting their horn as they rumble through town.
The New Braunfels City Council hired a firm in June to study the cost of establishing a railroad quiet zone, and although a final estimate has not yet been determined, officials say the relative peace and quiet may be well worth the investment.
