SCHOOL is no longer a health risk for poor students living in a Tanzanian village, thanks to a group of Bahraini teenagers. Fifty-one children, aged 14 to 16, have now returned to Bahrain after completing renovations of six classrooms at the Langoni School in Stone Town, located on the island of Zanzibar.
Their visit has made a significant difference to the lives of 1,000 children, who previously attended classes outside because of fears that the crumbling ceiling could collapse.
The Abdul Rahman Kanoo International School (ARKIS) students, helped with renovations during an eight-day trip to the East African country.
