LOS ANGELES -- Ducommun Incorporated (NYSE: DCO) today announced that its Ducommun AeroStructures, Inc. (DAS) subsidiary has been awarded a design and build contract for the ailerons and spoilers on Embraer's recently announced Legacy 450 and 500 series of business jets. The Legacy 450 is a 2,300 nautical mile, light mid-size aircraft, while the larger Legacy 500 is a 3,000 nautical mile mid-size aircraft. Embraer is the third largest OEM aircraft manufacturer in the world, famous for its family of regional jets such as the ERJ 145 and its family of E-Jets such as the Embraer 170/190 family.
