Recently, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, released the results of a major national poll. The survey looked at American attitudes toward alcoholism and drug addiction, recovery and treatment.
We can be optimistic about the results. By a large margin, Americans are now aware of recovery as an option for someone with an alcohol or drug problem.
