Karna gets only Rs 23 crore on Rs 22,279 cr investment

Bangalore, Feb 24 (PTI) -- The Karnataka government received a negligible return of Rs 23 crore on its Rs 22,279 crore investment in companies and statutory corporations, The Comptroller and Auditor General of India said in a report.

The report for the year ended March 31, 2008, tabled in the state assembly today said that the return on such huge investment accounted to mere 0.10 per cent.

It raps the state government over its failure to spend Rs 8,957.29 crore budgetary allocation allocated for 2007-08.
