NEW YORK, May 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The New York Power Authority, Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. and the New York State Department of Public Service have signed an agreement that guarantees NYPA's current industrial customers will continue to receive their power allocations from the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant near Oswego. The agreement also protects Niagara Mohawk's remaining customers by generally requiring the reimbursement of stranded costs on NYPA sales above current levels. Niagara Mohawk's termination of its purchase of FitzPatrick power for its system use will take effect on May 24.
