Jacques Lemaire might need to start wearing a bulletproof vest, or even go as far as body armor, in practice.
One week after being blindsided accidentally by Antti Miettinen, the Wild coach was hit in the back by a deflected Colton Gillies' clear during Monday's practice.
As Lemaire and assistant coach Mario Tremblay tried to avoid the puck, the two collided and Lemaire took the puck right off the back. He hit the deck hard and rolled in pain before eventually getting up.
