HOUSTON, May 23 - PanEnergy Power Services, Inc. and the Utilities Commission, City of New Smyrna Beach have signed a letter of intent for the development of a 250-megawatt (MW) gas-fired combined cycle power generation plant in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

"PanEnergy and the New Smyrna Beach Utilities Commission are working together to meet the increasing power requirements of Florida's citizens in the year 2000," said Paula Rosput, president of PanEnergy Power Services.
