SYDNEY, Feb 26 Asia Pulse - Transport and logistics company Toll Holdings Ltd (ASX:TOL) has posted a 33 per cent fall in first half net profit after writedowns and says its second half will be better.

Net profit for the six months to December 31, 2008 was million ($US102.62 million) compared with $237 million in the prior first half.

Underlying net profit was up 11 per cent at $177 million compared to $159 million in the prior corresponding period.
