It's been reported that the on-again, off-again Widmer\A-B deal is back on, with one reputable source saying "The deal will happen."
It's said that a new agreement has been hammered out, with A-B paying a reduced price for a reduced percentage stake in the Portland, OR specialty brewer (no dollar figure was available, but the stake is reportedly 30%).
In addition, the deal might come under the guise of a semi-merger with the Redhook Ate Brewery, which would then produce Widmer biers at Redhook's as-yet under-utilized Pease ...
