May 22--A 95-year-old San Antonio manufacturing company has been redeemed from near-closure and will triple its employment under a new owner.
SA Sports Unlimited, formerly San Antonio Tent & Awning Co., has been sold to All-Luminum Products Inc., a Philadelphia company that is a leading national manufacturer of portable folding furniture.
All-Luminum plans between August and November to add 100 to 110 employees to SA Sports' current work force of 40, said Warren Cohen, president of the company he owns with his brothers, Mark Cohen and Ira Cohen.
